Since her participation began in 2004 with the Miss America Organization, Jenna’s involvement and dedication to the Miss California has only grown. However, Jenna’s contribution to Global Volunteerism began as a young child. She has served as a missionary in Bucharest, Romania, and has worked in an orphanage and summer camp in Costa Rica, and upon graduation high school, boasted over 1,000 hours of community service. As Miss Stanislaus County 2004-2005, Jenna made the decision to decline her acceptance to the University of California San Diego and fulfill her responsibilities as an ambassador in her community of Stanislaus County. In 2008, Jenna went back to Miss California as Miss Central Coast Regional. In 2009, Jenna was blessed with one more opportunity to go back to Miss California as Miss Silicon Valley where she was 1st runner up and went on to represent California in the National Sweetheart Pageant- another opportunity for scholarships and friendships for Miss America State 1st runner ups from around the nation. At the National Sweetheart Pageant, Jenna placed 2nd runner up, won the overall talent award, and was awarded the Friday night preliminary talent award. More importantly, she walked away with lifelong friendships and support from girls whom she still talks to on a daily basis.
